Life in the Grass Lane

Jordan is now officially an employee of the Country Club of Waterbury.  His first day of work was on Sat, May 1st...yes he has to work on the weekends!  It went very well and he ended up loving it.  He has to be at work at 5:30am on weekends and 6:00am on weekdays so that was a bit of a struggle getting up the past couple days to be at work that early.  He came home after his first day of work and only had good and exciting things to say about the job and really liked all the people that he had met so far.  He spent most of the day with the other assistant superintendent and so far they get along really well.

As I said though, it is very early to get up.  He did take a nap after his first day, but today has been soldiering on and hasn't taken a nap yet!  He also told me today "My alarm went off this morning and I thought NO, and then I thought man I have to do this the rest of my life, when am I going to sleep in".  I know after the first week he will already be used to getting up that early though, unlike myself, he is actually good at getting up in the morning!

Before his first day we went to dinner with his boss at the club, last thursday.  We both had so much fun and got to meet a lot of the members that were also eating there.  The club is very nice inside and we ate down in the Pub area which was just renovated.  This was the first time I met his boss and I really liked him.  I can definitely see Jordan and him getting along and working really well together.  They also have a new head chef at the club who came from being head chef at Tom Calicio's restaurant in Las Vegas, so of course the food was amazing!  I guess he has really done a lot already for the dining part of the club, which hadn't been doing very well the past couple of years.  There was some talk about Tom Calicio coming and playing golf at the club sometime...but don't worry if he or any other celebrity comes and plays I will make Jordan take pics!

Here are some pictures of Jordan's Golf Course
