Well it's official, Jordan and I are now Connecticuters (we hear that is what we are called out here)! We have moved in, unpacked, and are starting to get settled hear on Tuttle Road.
The little town that I found my apt in is Woodbury and it is probably one of the most adorable little towns I've ever been to. There is a Main Street that runs straight through the middle of it that has everything on it. Little restaurants and shops, but no chains, which I love!! They have rules for businesses along the main street like; signs can't be bigger then a certain size and they vote if business can open a store on the street or not, so everything is very nicely managed and it looks adorable. It is what you would think a small new england town would look like. Everyone that we have met here in stores, waitresses, or just neighbors have all been so nice, I don't think there is a mean person that lives in the town. Outside of Woodbury there are a ton of other little towns that are very close that have more then Woodbury so we can get to anything that we need quickly, like Target, Grocery Stores, Malls, etc.
The apartment that I found is also really cute (if you can't tell already I think everything that we have seen so far is cute). As most of you know, I signed the lease and put the deposit down before I even got here and saw the place, so it was a huge relief when we pulled in and I loved it! The whole complex has 11 buildings and sits on a huge pond with so much land around it. Zoey loves having all the grass around to run in, since she was used to going right on the sidewalk.
Jordan doesn't start work until May 1st so the weekend we moved in we went by the course just to see it. It is absolutely beautiful. He went by the course to meet his boss and some of the others that he will be working with and it went really well. Everyone that he met that day was so nice and welcoming and he is really looking forward to starting. They are having us at the club for dinner this week to meet some of the members, I'm really excited to meet all of them and hopefully meet some of the local Woodburians.
